Item lists #
The Item Lists function allows identification of items which have some anomaly, and where some action may be required.
Screen details #
The screen opens to show:
Options #
There are Four list options available:
- Items where temporary transfer has expired – and therefore the items need to be identified and returned to their home location [see also Additional controls below]
- Items where returned at location is not home location – items may be marked as in transit but in fact in circulation at the wrong location, and need to be found and returned [see also Additional controls below]
- Items permanently transferred and still in-transit –
- Items in-transit – This option also allows to designate max days in transit and min days in transit.
The control allows entry of zero, meaning no upper limit to the number of days in transit, or a specific number of days as selected – up to a maximum value of 5000.
Controls #
Three command buttons are provided:
- Starts the process to create the report. While the report is building, the green light will change to red, and this may be used to interrupt the process
- Clears the list of results
- Allows the list to be exported to Excel. Note that this icon is greyed until the report is run. On completion, the report is written to Aurora Work as
Item_Lists_Items_where_temporary_ transfer_has_expired_<date>_<WorkstationName>.xls
or
Item_Lists_Items_where_returned_at_location_is_not_home_location_<date>_<WorkstationName>.xls
dependent on the specific listing selection; a message giving the exact filename is given to the operator. The operator may also immediately open the Excel output in response to questions in the screen dialogue; the file is also linked in the Excel link at the foot of the screen.
Check Location #
A combo selection allows the location (branch) to be selected for the listing. Note that this is the location where the items are expected to be collected from. The locations presented will be the branches defined in library parameters, and the default will be the location associated with the current operator’s workstation.

Export files #
Note the links at the foot of the screen: to an Excel file or an Export (text) file. When the Excel or Export buttons are invoked, then the appropriate file is created, and these links will become enabled – in the image, Excel is enabled and Export disabled. Clicking on the link when it is enabled will open the appropriate Export file.
