Aurora Desktop Management tab options #
Suppress User Pad #
This setting can be used if your library generally uses barcode padding to allow a short form of a user barcode to be entered, e.g. 123345 is automatically padded to the actual barcode of 24740000123345 where the library uses a standard user prefix of 2474, followed by a 10-digit running number; however, your library also contains other barcode ranges, for which this padding is not required. If user barcode padding is not set in your parameters to be used, then this option will not be enlivened.
Suppress Item Pad #
This setting can be used if your library generally uses barcode padding to allow a short form of an item barcode to be entered, e.g. 123345 is automatically padded to the actual barcode of 34740000123345 where the library uses a standard item prefix of 3474, followed by a 10-digit running number; however, your library also contains other barcode ranges, for which this padding is not required: typically, if you receive interlibrary loan material and wish to use the lending library’s barcode. If item barcode padding is not set in your parameters to be used, then this option will not be enlivened.

Overview #
Overview provides a way for a manager to get a quick yet comprehensive view of the status of various aspects of the library service. Each panel is linked to a task, when the task is run the panel is updated with the latest statistics. These tasks can be set to run hourly and may be controlled via a master task called Management – All. Management – All will run all of the management tasks together.
NOTE This function must be set up specifically using the management view section of system parameters – Please contact AIT to set this up.
- If a panel is grey, the result is in the acceptable limits set by Management view in System parameters.
- If a panel is red, the result is outside the acceptable parameters and action may be required.
- If a panel is dark grey there is no data for this element.
