This tab presents the controls to maintain the MARC codes parameters.

SIC Codes #

This tab presents the controls to maintain your Special Interest Code parameters. This set of details defines SICs (Special Interest Codes): these are primarily provided for Libraries for the Blind and for use in Homebound services, and record codes allowing different institutions to determine different locally oriented settings. The codes may be used in user profile settings and employed in Allocations/Requests processes. These codes can also be used in other contexts (please discuss with AIT), e.g. to provide a broad genre indication for eBooks, used in the eBook application.

The tab opens, listing the codes in alphabetical order of their description:

Selection of a specific code will populate the panel on the right, allowing the details to be maintained:

The standard Command buttons are provided, with an additional button on this form:

Refresh. This allows the display to be refreshed and may then allow additional levels added to System Parameters / System (C1 and C2) to become available.
