2014|9|E 4.9.30 Advance reminder notices for notifying users of expiring registrations.As the name suggests this is a courtesy email to advise a user that their registration is about to expire. This needs a new template called UserExpiryAdvanceNotice_<EIn>.txt. Aurora will look in the Enterprise table for the number of days to use in AdvanceRegoExpiryDays. If it cannot find it, then it will use 7 (days). It will look in the Enterprise table for the email subject entry under AdvRegoExpiry_Subject and failing to find that it will use Advance Reminder Notice – <Institution Name>.txt. When it runs it will create a success and failure file, written to Work:

2014|8|E 4.8.29 A new task is added to the Update Task Group:

Housekeeping tasks

This is a multi-function task designed to be run once a week and incorporates:

Ensures the heading counts reflect the actual number of occurrences (CTTerm table CT_CTOC)
Deletes any reserves relating to items where the item record no longer exists
Deletes any previous loans relating to users where the user record no longer exists
Deletes any user charges relating to users where the user record no longer exists
Deletes any user messages relating to users where the user record no longer exists
Deletes any user calls relating to users where the user record no longer exists
Deletes any user relationships where at least one of the user records no longer exists
Deletes any entries in the Inst_System table where the language field is empty (a bug in an old app put some entries in there).
Updates the title field in the UserCharges table if the title field is empty and the info can be gleaned from the BDDS table. Fixes old charge stuff.
Deletes from Marc_Punctuation where the PP_Std (Marc standard) field is a or q
Deletes from Marc_MarcCodes where the PC_Std (Marc standard) field is a or q
Deletes from Marc_Relators where the RL_Std (Marc standard) field is a or b.

2014|7|E 4.8.29 A new task is added to the Update Task Group:

Orders – roll into current financial year funds if still open from preveious financial year

This function performs two tasks:

1. to update the orders to the correct financial year and
2. to create any missing funds (in the previous year but not the current one) this is in effect a replication of the funds for the new financial year

2014|6|E 4.6.4 The ‘Funds bubble up task’ has been amended to complete all ‘On order’ subscriptions that have no items waiting to be received. At present this is available in Aurora Task only not Desktop AIT Funds : Bubble-up order commitments through higher level funds None None
2014|5|E 4.6.4 A new task is added to the Update Task Group:

Serials subscription auto-renew less than one month prior to end of current subscription

This function renews any serial subscription that is within one month of expiry

2014|4|E 4.5.28 New tasks are added to the Purge Task Group:

Headings created from a bibliographic work, but no longer linking to any works. This purge deletes Headings which were created from Bibliographic works (so not Headings created from Authorities) which no longer lead to an existing work.
CirculationHistory statistical and audit data which is older than… [separate tasks for 5, 7 and 10 years]. These purges allow the removal of historical transaction data

User Gender (from user title)

This function changes the gender to male of any user with the title Mr Mr. or Master

Advance ‘User Registration Expiry’ notice

This function, as it declares, allows for the creation and sending of a notice to a user advising that their library registration is about to expire, and inviting renewal. Note that a template is required. More detail is on the Registration Expiry Notice page.
