A new task is added to the Purge Task Group:
This task purges users who have been inactive for a default value of 2 years – bypassing those with loans, charges, reserves, etc. The default is controlled by a new Enterprise parameter setting: UsersDeleteInactiveYrs and determines the number of Years by which to purge inactive users. Libraries will be able to change this year setting once they get updated Backroom/Desktop versions allowing for this new Enterprise value. An override option allows a limit to be placed on the number of records to be processed, but there is no read-only option. A log is written to the Work folder as PURGES_INACTIVEUSERS_<date>_<time>.txt |

| 2012|1|E | 2.1.3. 23631 |
A new task is added to the Update Task Group:
This update is different from the relationship removal at passing an age. In this case, when a user reaches 18, the Task sets a specific debarral for the user. This is set by Backroom of this date or later, but if installing ahead of that Backroom release, the SQL required is: insert into User_UserCodes values ('A', 'DEB', '-', '93', , 'eng', 'Reregistration required as Adult', , , 'A', '1', '0', '1', '0', , '0', '0')
The Task also sets the user’s status to Review, and clears acceptance of library conditions. This then forces a new process of that acceptance, and presentation of such proofs as the library requires for an adult, as opposed to their previous status. The process uses the User Type parameters to identify types to be updated. |
